CATERING & EVENTS SALES MANAGER

Salary: $55K - $65K base + commissions.

Reporting to: Director of Sales

The Catering & Events Sales Manager is responsible for the day-to-day sales and operations of the call center. Through effective leadership, the manager will strive to achieve company sales and key performance indicator objectives.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee team members and ensure they are achieving prospecting, sales, and guest service goals.
  • Drive marketing initiatives with team and ensure guests are up to date on promotions, specials, and new products.
  • Assist with interviews, hiring, and onboarding new team members.
  • Perform periodic and annual reviews for each team member.
  • Provide feedback to coordinators on a daily basis to ensure they are improving.
  • Meet weekly with the Director of Sales.
  • Fill out weekly reports on all inside sales activity.
  • Submit timecards and commission for all catering coordinators.


DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Catering & Events Sales

  • Achieve Inside Catering Sales targets:
  • Corporate Sales
  • Social Sales
  • Event Sales
  • Review Catering, Fundraising, and Event Sales budgets and results with the team weekly.
  • Create sales initiatives and competitions for the catering call center.
  • Assist Catering Coordinators with large orders, maximizing sales through upselling, important details, and guest requests.
  • Achieve Catering key performance indicators:
  • Coordinator Budgets
  • Average Order
  • Number of orders
  • Direct sales & business development: create a targeted plan for increasing sales volume.
  • Focus on revenue-producing activity: strategic planning, cold calling, sales presentations/meetings, and effective closing techniques.
  • Active involvement in networking events.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients through follow-up visits and presence at key events.
  • Local Store Catering Sales Plan:
  • Assist restaurants with Local Store Marketing opportunities.
  • Assist Sales & Marketing Manager with new store openings from a Catering and Fundraising perspective.


Fundraising

  • Achieve budget sales targets:
  • School lunch sales.
  • Benefit night sales.
  • Oversee fundraising coordinator(s) productivity: prospecting targets, sales, guest feedback.
  • Review donation requests.


Guest Service Relations

  • Lead by example and ensure 100% guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure Guest Service Department is handling complaints per company standards.
  • Drive all team members to deliver the highest level of guest service through effective communication with sales and operations team.
  • Build and maintain relationships by following through on requests, guest follow-ups, and relaying information for immediate improvement.
  • Respond to incoming email/phone feedback from guests and take appropriate action to thank and/or retain guest(s).
  • Oversee the internal ticketing system from a Catering & Guest Experience perspective:
  • Catering call center issues.
  • Catering order issues.
  • Buona App issues.
  • Overall guest issues.
  • Coach team members through issues.
