Pay Range:

From $18 - $23/hour, based on experience.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the General Manager, the Hourly Assistant Manager is responsible for attaining the sales and profit targets established for Rainbow Cone.

Responsibilities:

·      Achieve sales targets

·      Recognize all revenue areas & development strategies to impact sales

·      Enforce and execute advertising and marketing plans, and HR and training materials

·      Manage and control direct expenses

·      Direct labor, food cost variances, repairs and maintenance, discounts, and other direct expenses

·      Selection, retention, supervision, and training of all employees

·      Conduct quarterly reviews

·      Assist monthly meetings with supervisors to recognize opportunities

·      Adhere to established training programs

·      Determine advancement/termination

·      Develop employees into shift managers

·      Provide guidance to our talented & motivated team and lead them toward success

·      Enforce policies, procedures, and controls

·      Ensure team complies with health regulation and certifications

• R&M reports of the venue and equipment
• Conduct monthly meetings with supervisors to recognize opportunities

Qualifications and Skills:

·      1-3 years of supervisory/SM experience in a restaurant or retail (restaurants preferred)

·      High School diploma or equivalent

·      Drive-thru experience

·      Demonstrated ability to direct and coach team members

·      Knowledge of restaurant operations

·      Multi-tasking, organizational, and prioritizing skills

·      Excellent organizational and time-management skills

·      Illinois and city of Chicago manager sanitation license

·      Understanding of ice cream cycles and storage, preferred

·      Strong leadership and communication skills

·      Ability to lift 40 lbs. comfortably

·      Ability to stand for 8 hours or more

·      Availability to work different shifts, including weekends
